Move to another Mac

The current license system lets the same license be active on two Macs. To free up an activation, you can deactivate the license on an old Mac you can access. The Move to another Mac… button doesn’t appear for a trial license.

1. Connect the old Mac to the internet.
2. Choose Move to another Mac… in the license window.
3. Read the explanation and confirm with Leave this Mac.
4. Check the “The license on this Mac was turned off.” message.
5. Activate the same key on your new Mac.

This task doesn’t move videos or your library. To transfer your footage and Merceq records, also follow the steps in the backup section.

You can leave a Mac at most four times in one year. If you’ve reached the limit or can’t access your old Mac, use the support directions in the app.

If you see “The license on this Mac was turned off, but its record couldn’t be deleted.” after the task, press Finish cleanup and check the result.
