Correct the transcript

A name may be spelled incorrectly, or a line may have been misunderstood. You can correct it directly in the transcript.

1. Click the pencil button beside the line you want to fix (Correct this sentence).
2. Edit the text.
3. Press Enter to save or click outside the field.
4. Press Esc to discard your changes.

A line is a single row. When you save it, all spaces and line breaks in the sentence become a single space. If you clear the whole sentence and save, the line is removed.

Here, Esc works differently from in a clip note: when correcting the transcript, it discards your changes.

Your corrections are used in Search and in SRT output. Your manual corrections are kept when speech is analysed again.

If there’s an error saving, you’ll see: “Couldn’t save — press Enter to try again · Esc cancels”. Don’t assume the change was saved; try again with Enter.
