Start with a template
If you don’t want to plan your video’s sections from scratch, you can start by choosing a template.
- Open the Shot list window.
- Choose a template that suits your video in Start from a template.
- Browse the ready-made slots; each represents a section you could include in your video.
- If you like, change the section names and order to fit your story.

Each template starts with five slots. They’re a starting suggestion, not fixed rules. You can delete a section you don’t want, add new ones, or adapt the whole list to your story.
Slot names are saved in the interface language you used when creating the list. If you change the app language later, slot names you’ve already created won’t be translated automatically.
