Select folders and files
Click once to select; double-click to open a folder. When you select a folder, its videos are selected too. If you want to look inside first, double-click the folder.
- Click once on the folder you want.
- To add another folder, hold ⌘ and click. You can remove the folder you selected with the same action.
- Check what you selected in Selected below.
- Remove an item you don’t want with the Eject button here (the × on its chip). Use Clean up to start over.
If you click without pressing ⌘, your previous selection is cleared. Always click with ⌘ to add something to the selection. Clicking an empty area among the folders also clears the whole selection. (Clicking a phone’s thumbnails doesn’t reset the selection; it adds or removes a video. See Import videos from your phone.)
Select an entire source. ⌘-click a source row on the left to select everything in that source. ⌘-click again to remove it from the selection. A checkmark appears for a fully selected source and a dim mark for a partially selected one.
Eject and Clean up only change your selection. They don’t delete files.
Tags in Selected
- Each tag shows the folder name, its location, and clip count. If you selected an entire source, it says “all”.
- Click a selection tag to go to that folder.
- The × on selection tags isn’t shown during a transfer.
Summary row at the bottom
The row at the bottom of the window summarizes your selection:

You can select a parent folder and leave out some of its subfolders. After selecting the parent, open it and ⌘-click any subfolder you don’t want to remove it from the selection. You can select a specific subfolder you left out later.
The path bar at the top (Source) shows which folder you’re in. Click its name to return to the previous folder.
You can combine different sources in one task. For example, add footage from your drone’s SD card, folders on your action camera’s card, and videos on an external disk to the same selection. You can add videos selected from your phone too. Hold ⌘ and click to add a selection from another source. If you choose to copy, you can copy all these sources to the destination disk in one transfer.
