Automatic backups

Merceq also backs up your work automatically at regular intervals. These records appear in the On this Mac list as backups without a name.

• Every two minutes, Merceq checks whether the app is idle.
• It creates an automatic backup if 150 new stable clips have accumulated since the last backup.
• It also backs up if 24 hours have passed since the last backup and the library has changed during that time.
• It doesn’t back up while an export or another intensive operation is in progress.

A new backup isn’t created with every click. To save an important stage for sure, create a backup yourself instead of waiting for an automatic one.
