12 · Set Merceq up for how you work
Choose the interface language
The interface language selector sits at the bottom of the left list in the Settings window, with a globe icon. It’s visible on every page.
- Open Settings.
- Open the Language selector at the bottom of the left list.
- Choose a language: Türkçe, English, Deutsch, Français, 日本語, 한국어, Español, or Português (Brasil).
When Merceq first opens, it detects your Mac’s language. If your Mac isn’t set to one of these languages, it opens in English. The language you choose changes app text and the Merceq menus in the macOS menu bar; it doesn’t translate names you gave your clips or your own notes.
To change the language spoken in your videos, use the Languages spoken in your videos setting on the Sense page. Interface language and speech language are separate preferences.
