Clips in more than one folder
You may have placed a clip in more than one folder in Merceq. If you like, the same clip can appear in all those folders when you export it.
- Make sure Your folder is included in Resulting Structure.
- Check that the clip appears in all relevant folders in the Folder and file layout preview.
- Review the bottom row: “{v} clips · {f} files · {d} folders · {boyut}”.
For example, if you have two different clips and have added one of them to two folders, you may see 2 clips · 3 files. If the same clip is in nine folders, it appears in all nine.
Each appearance doesn’t have to take up space on disk. If the destination disk supports it, Merceq creates a link in extra folders that points to the same content. If this isn’t possible, for example on an exFAT disk, it writes additional verified copies to the other folders. The report lists extra links and extra copies separately.
If you remove Your folder from the resulting structure, multiple folder membership isn’t applied; the file appears in one output location.
