Copy the transcript or save it as TXT/SRT
You have three ways to use the transcript elsewhere:
| Option | What you get | Where it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Copy | The whole transcript is copied to the clipboard, with each line’s timestamp at the start. | To paste into a document or note. |
| TXT | A plain text file. | To read or edit the transcript, or prepare text. |
| SRT | A subtitle file with timestamps. | To use in editing or playback apps that support subtitles. |
- Open the Speech section while previewing the video.
- Check and correct any lines you need.
- Click one of the icon buttons in the section heading: copy, Save the transcript as text (.txt), or Save the transcript as subtitles (.srt).
- If you’re saving a file, choose its location and filename in the window that opens.
Saving the SRT doesn’t burn permanent subtitles into the video image; it creates a separate subtitle file.
