14 · Activate and manage your license

Start your trial

If a trial is offered, follow these steps:

  1. Open the license window.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Press the Try for 14 days button.
  4. Check the “14-day trial activated.” message and the Trial ends date.

The Try for 14 days button doesn’t appear in these situations: your license is linked to another Mac, it has been revoked, your trial has ended, or your Alpha access has ended.

When your trial ends, the screen says “Your 14-day trial has ended. Your clips and decisions are still here; activate a license to continue.” You won’t lose your clips or decisions. Activate a license key to continue exporting.

The trial ends after 14 days or when you reach 2,000 new clips, whichever comes first. After it ends, new imports, copying to disk first, and exports are disabled; your library, culling, search, and organisation remain available.

If many trials have been started from the same network, the warning “Too many trials have been started from this network in the last 30 days. Contact support.” appears.

If you see Clock check needed (“Your Mac’s clock seems to have changed…”), check the date and time on your Mac, connect to the internet, and press Verify trial.
