Watch a clip up close

1. Select the clip you want to watch.
2. Press Space to open the video in preview.
3. Click where you want on the timeline or scan the image by moving the pointer.
4. Use A to turn audio on or off. You can choose 1×, 1.5×, or 2× from the Speed button.
5. While preview is open, use the arrow keys to move to other clips.
6. Press Space or Esc to close preview.

Press Z to watch the video full screen, or H to open focus view and concentrate on the image. M opens the clip’s detailed information (Info).

You can use A to turn audio on or off only while watching a video, in preview or Lens. It does nothing in Overview if no video is playing.

While watching in preview, you can add a clip to a folder, put it on hold, or reject it. We’ll cover selecting scenes from a video, adding notes to specific moments, and viewing the audio waveform and transcript in Section 4.
