5 · Find the shot you're looking for

Work with cameras, days, and sources

You don’t need image analysis to find videos from a shoot day or recordings from different devices.

  1. For a camera: use the Find → Camera row in the Quick filters wing or the All filters → Where from → Camera row.
  2. For a day: open the All filters → Where from → Shooting calendar.
  3. For a source folder and import group: use the All filters → Where from → Source and Import rows.
  4. You can narrow the clips you selected later with search and other filters.

For example, if you shot on the same day with a phone, action camera, and drone, choose the day first, then browse by camera.

Shoot calendar

In All filters → Where from → Shooting, you’ll see your shoots on a calendar.

  • Each month has its own row, with days shown as small squares. A square’s darkness shows the number of clips from that day.
  • Hover over a day to see “{gün} — {n}”.
  • Click a day to see that day’s shoots listed below as “time–time · count”. If there were no separate shoots that day, it says “No separate shoot that day.”
  • The day or shoot you select becomes a chip with a calendar icon in the view row.

Source row

In All filters → Where from → Source, each source is represented by a chip showing its folder name and clip count. A dot appears beside it if the disk isn’t connected.

  • Click a source chip to see only clips from that source; this doesn’t rescan the disk.
  • Hover over it to see three buttons:
    • ↻ “Rescan {ad}”
    • ⏏ “Safely eject the drive” (only on an external drive)
    • × “Removes this source from the list without deleting its clips.”

Tags

You can also limit your search to clips with a specific tag. In the All filters → What → Tags row, click a chip such as #Interview; then search within only those clips.

What scope are you in?

You can see which clips you’re working with in the chips at the top: a folder with a folder icon, #tag, a day or shoot with a calendar icon, Similar, and active filters. You can tell which status group you’re in (In queue, Selected, On hold, Rejected) from the line below the barcode counts. If you can’t see a clip you’re looking for, check the active conditions. You may be viewing only the In queue group without realizing it.
