Make mouse scrubbing smoother

To move the pointer over clip cards and see different moments in a video more smoothly, use Settings → Sense → Smoother mouse scrubbing.

1. Turn on the switch.
2. Merceq starts preparing preview strips in the background. You’ll see the progress in the Machine → Preparing previews row.
3. Move the pointer over clip cards to view the prepared images.

This preparation runs in the background and uses additional storage. You may want to leave it off while on battery. You can’t change the switch while a job is running. You can see the space used under Settings → Storage → Preview strips.

Turning this option on doesn’t make culling decisions for you or change original files.
