Backups before reset

Merceq creates a backup right before resetting the library. These records don’t appear in the regular Backups list.

  • They’re saved here: ~/Library/Application Support/com.vagastudio.merceq/
  • File names use the Merceq-sifirlama-oncesi-YYYY-AA-GG.db format.
  • The newest 3 are kept.
  • They’re included in the count in Automatic backups on the Settings → Storage page.

To return to your work from before the reset:

  1. In the Backups window, click Restore from file….
  2. In the file picker, go to the folder above. In Finder, press ⌘⇧G and paste the path.
  3. Select the Merceq-sifirlama-oncesi-… file. Then follow the steps in Restore a backup file.

The notification shown after a reset has an Open backups button. However, a backup created before reset doesn’t appear in the regular list that opens; you need to find its file in the location above. The library reset process is described in Pending deletion and reset.
