Remove Sense files

If you don’t plan to use Sense, you can free up space by removing its downloaded files.

1. Find the Sense row on the Settings → Storage page.
2. Press the Clean Up… button.
3. In the “Delete Sense?” confirmation, read where the files will go and the note about downloading them again.
4. Confirm with Delete.

Sense files left over from an older installation are removed as part of this task too.

To use Sense again, you’ll need to download the necessary files again. You don’t need this download for manual culling, organising folders, and working with notes; Sense-dependent features such as content search and speech preparation won’t be available until it’s ready.

What Sense has learned and downloaded Sense files are separate things. The first is information Sense has drawn about your videos, and you delete it from the Settings → Sense page. The second is files needed to run Sense, and you delete them here. If you delete what Sense has learned, Sense needs to look through your clips again; your decisions are kept.

The Old Sense files row appears only if files remain from an older installation. Clean up in this row doesn’t ask for confirmation.
