Search doesn't find the clip I expected

First check the scope of your search:

1. Which group is open: In queue, Selected, On hold, or Rejected?
2. Is a folder, camera, day, or in this clip scope active?
3. Is there an excluding search item or another filter?
4. Remove conditions you don’t want and search again.

If you’re searching content, Sense needs to be on and ready. If preparation for new clips is still running, results may not be complete yet.

Check Sense’s possible results as well as exact matches; these are candidate suggestions, not verified matches. If needed, use Show {n} guesses anyway, search with a different phrase, and open results to review the match explanation.

An excluding search item only excludes clips with exact matches. Clips matching only a guess remain; its hint says how many clips are left.

If you select a second filter of the same type (for example, two cameras), the second may replace the first. Check the active chips.

Searching for a name you gave a file and searching for a scene in the video use different kinds of information. Getting results by name before content preparation is ready doesn’t mean scene search is ready too.
