Get to know the Merceq screen

Get to know the tools, views, shortcuts, and notifications on Merceq’s main screen for importing, finding, culling, previewing, organizing, and exporting your clips.

In this section, we’ll take a look around Merceq’s main screen together: where each tool is and what it does. When you want to learn more about an action, go to the related section.

If this is your first time using Merceq, start here.

Merceq is local-first. Your footage stays on your Mac or connected disks; you don’t need to upload it to a cloud service to cull, organize, or preview it. Sense also analyses images, speech, and on-screen text on your Mac. You may need an internet connection to download Sense models, activate your license, or get updates. Details: Local processing and privacy.
