Compare takes and choose what to use

Don’t get stuck choosing between similar takes; find the best one. With Merceq’s Duel feature, compare two videos side by side, inspect their details, and choose the footage you want to use. Find exact copies of files on different disks, weed out unnecessary duplicates, and focus on the footage you really need in your library. You decide which copy to keep; notes, tags, and scene selections you added to the others are transferred to the video you choose. That way, you don’t have to repeat any work you’ve already done while organizing your footage.

When you’ve shot the same scene several times, choosing which take to use isn’t always easy. In Merceq, you can watch two takes side by side, and compare copies of a video on different disks by looking at file details. In this section, you’ll learn both ways to compare.
