Use Link

To transfer footage from your phone: First make sure Link is on in the Plugins section. You can’t start a transfer if Link is off, even if your phone appears in the source list. Then follow the wired connection and copy to disk first steps in the import section.

To prepare an editing project: Leave Link on. When exporting, choose the program you’ll use in the Export to editing software section. Scene ranges, notes, folders, and shot lists are added to a supported project format.

Turning Link on by itself doesn’t transfer files or create an editing project. You need to start these tasks on the relevant screen.
