6 · Compare takes and choose what to use
Open Duel with two clips
- Select the two clips you want to compare. You can do this in a few ways:
- Click each clip while holding ⌘. A regular click on the first clip isn’t enough; you need to add it to the selection with ⌘ too.
- If the clips are next to each other, click one, then click the other while holding Shift.
- Use Shift + ← / → on the keyboard to extend your selection to the neighboring clip.
- Make sure two clips are selected.
- Press V.
- Both videos open side by side in the Duel screen.
Both clips must be visible in the list for Duel to open. If a search or filter hides one of them, clear that condition first.
For example, if you shot a scene several times, you can watch two takes side by side and choose the better one.
