Save your settings

If you use a similar folder and file naming layout for each project, you can save them as a preset.

1. Set up your preferred folder structure, file naming, and file operation.
2. Open Advanced settings.
3. Type an easy-to-remember name in the Preset Name box on the Save this preset row.
4. Click Save or press Enter. If you don’t enter a name, the project name is used.
5. In a future export, apply the same rules by clicking your saved preset in Advanced settings → Presets.

The Presets row appears only if you’ve saved at least one preset.

Saved details: folder structure, file naming, file operation, and project name. Destination location, backup disk, and editing app selection aren’t included in a preset. So after applying one, check your destination and the clips to export again.

The ✕ button beside a preset deletes it without asking for confirmation. This can’t be undone.

You can return the layout to its starting state with Reset rules in the second stage. Then check the Project Name field.

To show cameras with different names in output folders, use Advanced settings → Edit camera names…. This option appears only if your clips have camera information.
