Rescan a source

If you’ve added new footage to a source folder since the last scan:

1. Find the source in the All filters → Where from → Source row.
2. Click the ↻ button beside its chip (tooltip: “Rescan {ad}”).
3. Wait for the scan to finish and check the results it finds.

This button doesn’t work while another operation is running or when the source disk isn’t connected.

Files that haven’t changed and are already known aren’t added again as new clips. If you regularly add new files to a specific folder, you can also use Watched folders in the import section.

Rescanning doesn’t move videos or change their contents.
