When does the report open?
The export report doesn’t interrupt your work every time. Merceq opens the report or sends a notification based on the result and what you’re doing at the time.
| Operation result | What happens? |
|---|---|
| Completed with problems | The report opens right away. |
| Completed without problems; you’re culling clips | The report doesn’t open automatically. You get a notification with a Show report link. |
| Completed without problems; you’re idle | The report opens by itself. |
| Stopped operation | The report doesn’t open. |
Examples of completion with problems: the destination disk fills up; a file can’t be exported or verified; the new location can’t be saved after moving; the source file stays in place; or a receipt, backup, or MHL record can’t be written; or a rejected file can’t be moved to the Trash.
When Merceq considers you to be culling: a large preview is open, you’re using Duel, you’re in the inbox, or you’re in the In queue view.
When Merceq considers you idle: you haven’t used the mouse or keyboard for the last 5 seconds and you’re not on a culling screen.
Whether the report opens automatically doesn’t change preparation of your chosen editing project or application of the action for rejected clips.
