Output isn't what I expected
Clip is in two folders but appears in one place in the output: Check whether the output structure has a Your folder field. This field reflects multiple folder memberships in the output.
More files than clips: The same clip may be in several folders. Check the report’s additional link and additional copy rows.
Filename changed: Check the order of the naming fields and the Example row. If the name already exists at the destination, a number may have been added.
File appears as “skipped”: The report may have found an identical file at the destination already. “Skipped” and “Failed” aren’t the same result.
Second disk is missing: The backup may have failed even if the main destination succeeded. Check the backup result separately.
Expected clip didn’t appear: Check these possibilities in order:
- Is the source disk connected? A clip whose source can’t be reached may not be transferred.
- Is the scope on the Summary screen correct? On hold clips are excluded by default. Rejected clips aren’t exported.
- Is it in the shot list? Clips in the list may be included in the export scope even if some other groups are left in the library. Check the number of listed clips shown separately in Summary.
- What does the report say? Distinguish “Skipped,” “already exists,” “failed,” and “source missing.”
- Was it delivered before? After export, a Merceq folder is considered complete and disappears; a delivered clip isn’t included automatically in the next transfer. To export it again, use Return delivered clips to queue from the Delivered view.
Destination is full: Check which files were completed in the report that opens. Free up enough space or select another destination for a new transfer. When you start the transfer again, use the new result report to confirm how previously completed files were handled.
