Copy and verify your footage safely

Copying isn’t enough. You need to verify. A transfer finishing doesn’t just mean that the file appears on the destination disk. When copying from a camera card to disk and during export, Merceq checks file contents, records transfer history, and preserves files verified before an interrupted job. This section explains how it protects your footage and when you may need to check it again.

In Merceq, importing a video in place and copying it to disk are different tasks. When you import in place, the video stays in its folder; Merceq adds it to the library. If you want a new verified physical copy, use Copy to disk first or Copy during export.
