How long are backups kept?

Backup type	Retention rule
Unnamed (automatic) backups	The newest 20 backups are kept.
Named backups	The newest 20 of these are also kept.
All backups combined	If they exceed the 4 GiB limit, cleanup starts with the oldest backups. The newest 3 of each type are protected.
`.db` files you save to a file	Merceq doesn’t delete these files automatically.
Backups before reset	The newest 3 backups are kept. They don’t appear in the regular backup list; see the section below.
